The Story of Steak Revolution

I’m Adam Wojtow. I started Steak Revolution in 2020 as a personal blog to share my journey of learning how to cook steaks at home. What began as a small hobby quickly grew into a passion for everything steak and a mission to teach others not just what to cook step by step, but how to cook it.

I live in Jelenia Góra, a small town in Poland where steak isn’t a big part of the food culture. Unlike the United States or many Western European countries, steakhouses are rare here, and when you do find one, the menu is usually limited to a few classics like ribeye, T-bone, strip, or filet, and they come at a high price. That got me thinking: why not try cooking steaks at home? It would save me some money and give me the chance to experiment with different cooking methods and cuts I’d never find in local restaurants.

So that’s what I did. I started reading, researching, and cooking. At first, it was chaotic. Like many people, I started with more questions than answers. There’s a ton of confusing advice online: steak finger tests, flipping once or often, cooking times, resting rules… it’s overwhelming. But I kept at it, made mistakes, and slowly figured out what works. Over time, I got better and began to see just how much there was to discover about steak.

With my background as a product owner, I started organizing what I’d learned and turning it into practical, easy-to-follow guides. That’s how Steak Revolution was born in 2020.
